26.Art Therapy (knittermama.blogspot.com)
The recent and upcoming transitions that our whole family has undergone (a move across the country and back again, a new baby, some family strife, etc...) have taken their toll on the whole family and, most noticeably, on our daughter. She has recently begun experiencing tremendous rage and it has been manifesting itself in some pretty problematic ways.

27.Triple the Fun! (tripletcrown.blogspot.com)
"You've got your hands full." As people have said this a million times to me in the last 16 months I have given it much thought. Do you think that I could find any parent of toddlers or even one single toddler who doesn't think their hands are full?

28.What's In A Name? (mamakatslosinit.blogspot.com)
it means loud silly laugh and fun in the bath
it means taking a bite and spitting out half.
it means beaming and gleaming, sweet baby dreaming
it means turning your mother into a blubbering sap. -
29.Getting Fat (mommybrainjen.blogspot.com)
If I wanted you to know how much weight I've put on, I'd make a freakin' t-shirt, writing my updated weight on it every week - just for you! And if I wanted to know that you only put on 20 lbs in your pregnancy, I would have asked you!

30.Pregnancy Confessions (littlefrecklebaby.blogspot.com)
When people ask me, "how's the pregnancy going?" I am quick to extol the virtues of carrying a new life. I usually respond by saying that I would have done it sooner had I known it would be this easy. This is mostly the truth.

31.First Two Weeks, In Review (mommybrainjen.blogspot.com)
I can't believe how quickly the first two weeks have gone by. I look at Jane and see her getting bigger and see her face looking "older"... I'm savouring every minute I get with her as I know the time will continue to fly.

32.My precious burden (www.theage.com.au)
As hundreds of women settle down for tepid tea and toast in bed, Kate Cole-Adams reflects on the profound awakening, both joyous and terrifying, that is motherhood.

33.Unplanned Parenthood: When the Baby is a “Little Surprise” (blogs.wsj.com)
Readers, do you think being planned or unplanned can significantly shape a baby’s fate within the family? Is life tougher for unplanned babies today, compared with the past? Do any of you have experiences with being or having a “surprise?”

34.Mothering - It Is a Real Job (community.thebump.com)
To all the mothers out there? Stay-at-home? Working? Single? You’re doing a great job! Your kids are truly amazing: smart, beautiful, funny and so polite! And you have the prettiest home. And you look amazing in those jeans! Now, go out and treat yourself to a pedicure. Or an iced latte from Starbuck’s. A new book. Whatever it is that makes you feel like a person. You deserve it.

35.Who’s Been Sleeping in My Bed? (community.thebump.com)
Call it what you will -- co-sleeping, bed-sharing, the family bed. I had no interest. In fact, much to my husband’s chagrin, I don’t even like sharing our queen-sized bed with him. I would prefer to have it all to myself. What can I say? I’m a big sleeper. I love sleep.

36.What Makes A Dad (crunchycarpets.com)
Until I had kids, Fathers Day had been a bit of an abstract concept for me. I lost my father when I was a teen. Our relationship and my memories of our relationship are all a bit foggy.. marred by alcoholism and parental wars.

37.Baby or career: young women cannot have it both ways (www.almendron.com)
The idea that we can plan our lives is fairly new and very western. For thousands of years people assumed that their destinies were not in their own hands, but in the unpredictable grasp of gods or demons or chance or family history or destiny. Man proposes but God (or something ineffable) disposes – that was how everybody thought.

38.Pregnancy: So beautiful. On other people. (mom-101.blogspot.com)
I was definitely not a good pregnant person. And oh, bless you women who are because I know there are more of your kind than there are of mine. Bless you bless you.

39.The Birth Story of Ean Campbell (www.mama-is.com)
On March 31, 2009 I woke up about 3:15 am to what were definitely contractions. Kind of crampy feeling and low, under the tummy. I lay there for the next 3 hours with a big goofy grin on my face because first of all, this is LABOR and it’s still 3 days before my due date and second of all, these are EASY and I can’t wait to meet the baby.

40.Where Babies Come From, Part Four (nohipsters.blogspot.com)
"This doesn't feel right," I kept telling people. "I should be able to feel both of my feet by now, shouldn't I?" The nurses were changing shifts and the nurse who'd been there for my epidural the day before was back. I was hungry and it was dinnertime; why the hell wasn't my foot working yet?

41.Our First Get Away Sans Babies (howellquints.blogspot.com)
My entire pregnancy I said that once the babies could get out and about, I was going on vacation -- and we finally did two weekends ago. We went to the wine country in Northern California with some of our best friends.

42.Having Babies Doesn't Stop the Broodies (superfiona.co.uk)
Should there not be some kind of hormone released by breastfeeding that prevents the immense sense of broodiness? I have a lovely baby sleeping upstairs, and yet, I am BROODY. I find this most alarming, really. I feel like it’s worth pointing out to the broody childless readers of this blog - just because you have one doesn’t mean those feelings go away!

43.Vulcan Babies Don’t Cry (dannymiller.typepad.com)
Like our intubated son, Vulcan babies cannot cry. In the case of Vulcan children, they have no tear ducts. Charlie does (I think) and I’ve seen him make the motions of crying, but his breathing and feeding tubes prevent any sound from coming out.

45.The Unsung Milestones…Stop Worrying Baby Isn’t Walking Yet (blogs.babiesonline.com)
Having spent the last couple of months looking after Daycare Baby, a crawling baby who is now 16 months old, the most common thing I was asked by friends and strangers alike was “is she walking yet?”

46.Sitting Around Discussing Babies (pacingthepanicroom.blogspot.com)
It occurred to me the other night that because of this baby, that a lot of the conversations end up being centered around poop and puke, and boobs, and vaginas, and all of the sudden it is a no holds barred open air conversation about otherwise taboo topics.

48.babies & etsy. (nicole.webseitler.com)
I got an amazing present in the mail today ... I had seen this beautiful nursing cover on Etsy (from The Pink Knot) and I was talking about it on Twitter when some of my Sunshine-y girlfriends saw it and said to me "Oh, thanks! Because some people are still looking for a birthday present for you..."

49.The Baby Shower (themeanestmom.blogspot.com)
One of my husband's coworkers is going out on maternity leave at the end of this week and my husband is in charge of the woman's baby shower, which means that I'm in charge of the woman's baby shower. Last week, he tossed me an envelope filled with money collected from his coworkers and gave me some very specific instructions: "Buy as much as you can with this...but don't buy junk."

50.Milestones: Babies First Words (www.cafemom.com)
Everyone will be interested in your baby's first word. My baby's first word was "baby." I was really excited about it at the time, but it's not nearly as, uh, interesting, as the unusual words the babies of these moms in the CafeMom Newcomers Club uttered.
